Been checking the twitter site of a business associate here the past couple of days, and I’m totally intrigued.
I mean, twitter is just a “here’s what I’m doing / thinking now” kind of deal but it appears to require much less preparation than blogging. You just record your moments – or those you want to share. And people sign up to “follow” you. Kind of fun.
But I already have this blog, 3 or 4 email accounts, text messaging and when it’s an absolute necessity, I actually TALK on my cell phone. Our home phone line? Totally obsolete. (Geez, with all these communication tools, no wonder my house is never clean.)
I guess what keeps me from jumping in is that no one would want to “follow” me. Kind of like throwing a party and no one showing up. I mean, I don’t even have a facebook yet. (Kids say I need that too…)
Still, twitter looks like the kind of thing I like. A place to post the short-burst-OMG-kind-of-stuff, which I seem to be a magnet for when there’s no one else around.
I guess the house can wait a little longer. :)
